Placement Cell – CIAS

The Placement Cell at the CIAS is a vital bridge between academia and industry. It plays a pivotal role in shaping the careers of students by providing them with the necessary support, guidance, and opportunities to transition successfully from education to employment. Our Placement Cell is committed to facilitating meaningful employment and internship opportunities for students across all departments, including humanities, social sciences, fine arts, communication, design, education, and cultural studies.

Objectives of the Placement Cell

  1. Career Guidance
    Provide comprehensive career counseling to help students make informed decisions aligned with their interests, strengths, and aspirations.
  2. Skill Development
    Organize training sessions, workshops, and seminars on soft skills, communication, resume writing, portfolio development, public speaking, interview techniques, and workplace ethics.
  3. Industry Engagement
    Establish and maintain partnerships with organizations, NGOs, media houses, design studios, publishing houses, academic institutions, and corporate sectors to generate internship and job opportunities.
  4. Student Empowerment
    Encourage students to take initiative in shaping their career paths, enhancing their employability, and adapting to the evolving demands of the job market.
  5. Internship Facilitation
    Support students in securing internships that complement their academic learning and give them real-world exposure.

Structure and Team

The Placement Cell functions under the guidance of a Placement Officer and a dedicated team of faculty coordinators from each department. In addition, a group of student volunteers act as placement ambassadors, ensuring smooth communication between the cell and the student body.

  • Placement Officer: Oversees all activities and liaises with external organizations.
  • Faculty Coordinators: Represent their respective departments and help match students’ skills with suitable opportunities.
  • Student Representatives: Assist in organizing events, collecting student data, and facilitating communication.
